A Little Help From My Friends
Joe Abbate
I have known Joe Abbate all my life. Our families are close friends, and we go to the same church. In 2011 I asked Joe, a freelance writer, to help me with my book. We have been working together ever since.
Joe has been with me almost every step of the way. Together we have come up with our presentation which is given at lectures and talks about the book. Joe has been with me at every one of them. Joe works as a web designer for our church. He also has a dream of being a published author. He writes a blog that is designed to help people cope with the struggles of life. He usually uses humor to do this, which is his favorite thing to write. Here are the links to Joe's work. Please check them out and become one of his followers, too: BLOG: Stepping out With an Agoraphobic WEBSITE: Joseph V. Abbate, Jr. CHURCH WEBSITE: First United Methodist Church of Fulton, NY |
Jim Farfaglia
Jim Farfaglia is a recent friend of mine. He is also a good friend of Joe's. Jim is a published author and a public speaker who is well-known in our local area. Examples of his excellent work can be found on his website.
Joe and I contacted Jim after having some struggles with the editing of the book. We needed "an outsider" to give the book a fresh set of eyes, and help us know how to polish it up to be presented to publishers. Jim was also instrumental at arranging several of our speaking engagements, and has worked with us as an emcee, interviewing us and helping to organize and run the presentation. We are proud to call Jim our editor; and even more proud to call him our friend. |
